Sunderland has spent six seasons with the NFL’s New York Jets in scouting roles, most recently covering college players in the western United States. He also served as an advance pro scout, preparing reports for the Jets on upcoming opponents.
Prior to joining the Jets, Sunderland spent three seasons with the Montreal Alouettes where he was promoted to Director of Scouting after serving as a professional and amateur scout.
A native of Great Falls Montana, Sunderland was a wide receiver and punt returner for the University of Montana. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.
